Where Am I? Where Have I Been?

Facebook. Friggin frackin Facebook is a blog killer, I tell ya what! I think of things I might write about but then go shopping for Delicious Chicken and play Geo Challenge until my eyeballs have dried out just so my sister can’t catch up to my score. And then, WEIRDOS from the past befriend me. Why? Why weirdos why? We weren’t friends in high school, not even close, why do you want to be my friend now? You must have heard how cute Gomez is and need to see his picture. That’s the only reason I could possibly think of.

LizzieLou shrugs.

P.S. Hepburn movie quiz answer to #7 is “Morning Glory”

  1. The fact that not a single person who knew me in high school has contacted me on Facebook confirms the most prominent aspect of my vague memory of high school: I knew nobody in high school. This seems to have been a fortunately chosen strategy to avoid online pestering 25 years later, not just an underdeveloped sense of identity (and underdevelopment generally). Who knew?

“Morning Glory”? I’d not heard of it. I’ll keep an eye out on TCM for it.

  2. HAH. Seems to be a unifying trait of FB because everyone I know complains about that (myself included). To make things worse, these losers who all never left little Lebanon, CT and got married and had babies seem so new to social networking that they see nothing wrong with filling their FB with quiz after quiz after quiz after top 5 after top 5 after “Which Twilight character are you?” These are memes and if someone did nothing but them on LJ (there are those who do) I wouldn’t touch their friendship with a 30-foot mouse cord.
